Plaza Heights Christian Academy is a Christ-centered learning community seeking a dedicated and compassionate full-time Elementary Teacher’s Aide to support our classroom teachers and contribute to a nurturing, faith-based educational environment. The Teacher’s Aide will assist with instructional and classroom management tasks while modeling Christian character and values.

Work Schedule and Compensation

Full-time, 40 hours per week

Hourly wage; compensation based on experience and education

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist classroom teachers in preparing and organizing instructional materials and
    Christ-centered activities.
  • Provide individual and small-group support to students, reinforcing lessons in both
    academics and biblical principles.
  • Supervise students during classroom transitions, lunch, recess, and other activities with
    attentiveness and care.
  • Support students with special needs under the guidance of the teacher or learning
    specialist.
  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and respectful classroom environment rooted in Christian
    values.
  • Help with clerical and organizational tasks, including copying, filing, and record-keeping.
  • Demonstrate and encourage Christ-like behavior in interactions with students, staff, and
    families.
  • Maintain confidentiality of the students, parents and staff in all situations.
  • Participate in staff devotions, prayer, professional development, and school events as
    required.
  • Other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or principal.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to Christian education.
  • Associate’s Degree or higher in Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Prior experience working with children in a school or ministry setting is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
  • A heart for serving children and helping them grow academically, socially, and spiritually.
